Guest Support Associate The Tennessee Aquarium, rated the best Aquarium in America for overall guest satisfaction, attracts over 750,000 visitors each year. We are looking for a positive, energetic individual with excellent customer engagement skills and experience to assist guests with information regarding the Aquarium, IMAX, ticketing, memberships, and any other special events, while supporting the Aquarium's mission to connect people with nature and empower them to make informed decisions about water and wildlife. Key Responsibilities Answer guest calls and questions concerning the Aquarium hours, ticket prices, directions, memberships, IMAX movies, parking etc. Provide information and assist with new tickets reservations, and/or changing existing reservations. Use ticketing programs to research guests' bookings and look up membership details. Maintain an ongoing knowledge base of Aquarium offerings, seasonal promotions, IMAX movies, and any other special events. Ability to perform and be a back-up for all Admissions functions during busy times. Provide a high standard of customer engagement while efficiently taking care of guest needs. Cross-train with other departments to stay current on available experiences and opportunities. Cross-train within Admissions department Solve problems, address complaints, and provide service recovery when appropriate. Develop an extensive knowledge of the Aquarium and the Chattanooga experience to provide a one-stop shopping experience. Ensure the Tennessee Aquarium's core values, service standards and mission are maintained. Key Qualifications Excellent communication skills (Verbal, written and listening) Able to operate a cash drawer and handle money (basic math) Professional and enthusiastic interpersonal skills Upbeat and outgoing phone personality; ability to handle several calls at one time Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn new software Organizational skills with attention to detail Works well within a team environment Handles multiple functions simultaneously High School diploma or some college preferred 2 years of experience providing administrative support 2 years of customer service experience Must be available all day, every weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) and at least one weekday Seasonal, hourly ($14/hour); Weekends and some holidays required The Tennessee Aquarium is an equal opportunity employer committed to promoting an inclusive environment that values and supports diversity and equality among staff, volunteers, and all of its audiences.
