TransWest Credit Union is looking for a competent System / Computer Support Specialist to provide fast and useful technical assistance on computer systems. You will answer queries on basic technical issues and offer advice to solve them. A qualified applicant must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. They must also be member-oriented and patient to deal with staff and members. System / Computer Support Specialist Systems Support Specialist is responsible for supporting various business systems throughout the organization to test, troubleshoot, and escalate resolutions where there are malfunctions or issues that associates, or members are experiencing. Associates at this level are expected to use some independence of thought but refer more complex problems to supervisor. Skills and Competencies Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong customer service skills/background Strong interpersonal skills Responsibilities and Duties Strong and professional communication skills with can work very closely, openly, and effectively within a team. Excellent member and staff support skills and demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Strong organization and time management skills and can work autonomously while juggling many tasks simultaneously. Strong problem solving and analysis skills. Learn new skills quickly. Provide "End User" member and staff support to assist with all aspects of their devices, including set-up, Installation, troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, and upgrades. Deploy new equipment and operating software. Technical support/Troubleshooting of Windows workstations, Office 365, Active Directory, Voice over IP (VoIP), and basic network connectivity Position Type Full time Other duties as assigned.
