Project Overview Bechtel is on the Northrop Grumman Corp. team preparing to deliver the Sentinel (GBSD) system of inter:continental ballistic missiles and launch infrastructure.Sentinel is a vital U.S. Air Force program designed to modernize the nation's aging force of inter:continental ballistic missiles, which make up the ground element of the nuclear deterrent.As part of the Northrop Grumman Sentinel nationwide team, Bechtel will provide launch system design, construction, and integration. A major contractor for the United States and allied governments, Bechtel has managed such efforts as chemical weapons demilitarization projects, missile:defense, infrastructure, base operations, procurement and project management, and restoration and recovery spanning half a century. We invite you to join our team for this interesting opportunity Position Summary The HVAC Lead will support the Mechanical Engineering Group Supervisor in leading other Mechanical Engineers who will prepare design and procurement documents for the Sentinel Project. This position has technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, and coordinating these assignments as they pertain to HVAC and chilled water systems as well as unique requirement driven equipment. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in HVAC design and will be capable of developing design documents and procurement documents, including Specifications, Material Requisitions, Ventilation and Instrumentation diagrams and equipment data sheets as well as strong organizational and teamwork skills and proven problem:solving capabilities. You will be interfacing and coordinating with other engineering disciplines and the client in the development of the design. Responsibilities :Provide direction and technical guidance to discipline work group and assist the management of discipline work process execution and ensure technical adequacy in accordance with company, contract, and industry codes and standards.:Assist in the building of an inclusive team environment where all are able and expected to contribute to the maximum of their capabilities. Provide leadership and mentoring to team members. :Establish or assist in establishing and maintaining work plans to ensure schedules are met and stakeholder requirements are satisfied. Create and track actions, estimate hours, and update schedules.:Devise innovative approaches to solving problems from a variety of detailed technical options and assess cost implications.:Contribute directly to the cost:effective design of HVAC systems as well as unique requirement driven equipment.:Identify major technical uncertainties and present solution o
