Job Title: ML Engineer Location: San Jose, CA (Remote work is acceptable) Client: PayPal Duration: 6 months contract to hire Responsibilities: Utilize your Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field to contribute to cutting-edge machine learning projects. Implement software engineering best practices, encompassing version control systems such as Git, conducting code reviews, and employing robust testing methodologies. Drive backend server and SDK development, leveraging your expertise in programming languages like Go, GRPC, Java, and Python. Utilize your proficiency in GCP Vertex AI components and SDK to develop scalable and efficient machine-learning models and applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning functionalities into React UI, ensuring seamless user experiences. Mandatory Skills: Proficiency in at least one of the following: Go, Python, GRPC, or Java. Extensive experience with GCP Vertex AI, including its components and SDK. Strong proficiency in React for UI development. Prior experience working with SDKs. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with additional programming languages and frameworks. Experience with other cloud platforms and their machine-learning services. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
