Our mission is to elevate the role of design and design thinking as a function, process, mindset, and as culture in PepsiCo and the broader business world.We are a consumer-centric organization with a start-up mentality within our larger organization; we partner with world-class partners in Marketing, Insights, and R&D to strategically drive business results with purpose.Who we're looking for?The Senior Design Manager for 1PBNA 2South Divisions is a creative & strategic leader responsible for the management and execution of comprehensive design strategy, brand, comms, retail/commercial marketing design, and graphic design projects within the PBNA South Division and the PBNA portfolio. Successful candidates will demonstrate superior ability to inspire and engage cross-functional teams, lead and develop talent and team capabilities. This person will drive ideas from ideation to execution strategic design thinking and brand solutions - directly executing with internal and external partners and agencies.The main objective of this role is to execute PBNA Division-centric brand design projects, strategies, and innovations across the PBNA portfolio. This means planning, organizing, and implementing consistent design principles, and production processes to ensure that the design, strategy and production guardrails and timelines are met.Responsibilities * Leadership of Creative & Division Design Responsible for inspiring, developing, and leading Creative and creative teams in the South Division, thru primarily virtual means. Internal and external creative resources. Supervising all work completed by the South Division design workstreams and agencies. Monitor results of team efforts and propose actions for the future capability growth and development. * Brand & Retail Design Development: Takes ownership of the visual identity for specific brands in the portfolio, working in collaboration with the Chief Design Officer, the VP of Global Beverage Design, VP of PBNA Design, and the other design leaders - cutting across brand, product, packaging, marketing equipment, and advertising. Generates creative design proposals (visions, scenarios, concepts) in order to visualize the desired output and share it with internal and external team members. Participates in research activities and effectively translates customer needs into actionable design concepts, strategic requirements. Execute those requirements into design solutions. Responsible for driving to final design recommendations, decisions and design approval to enable artwork execution / production phases. Ensure thorough consideration of all project variables and that the final solution will perform as planned. * Strategy, Design, and Innovation: Creates holistic elevated experiences that create brand love and loyalty. Identifies and promotes self-initiated design programs that generate critical business value for one or more divisions. Conceive and implement concepts, guidelines and strategies in various creative projects and oversee them to completion. Particularly around brand strategy, retail marketing, social media, and brand experiences. Energizes and leads both the internal team and external design resources from idea phase to commercialization, creating breakthrough design concepts that support our Customer agenda. Collaborate with our Marketing, operations, and sales teams to obtain knowledge of the Customer/Brand Partner requirements. * Design Project Management: Responsible for partnering across disciplines within PepsiCo and external partners to ensure design assets are developed and delivered with quality, value, and on-time.. Ensures each stakeholder understands his/her role and responsibilities throughout the creative process. Regularly reviews the status of projects with appropriate leadership to verify that Company and Division expectations are met. * Supporting the PepsiCo Design Organization in US Divisions: Partners regularly with the PBNA Design, R&D, and marketing teams.
