Working at Kingdom One is more than a job, it’s a calling! Missional Role: The Accounting Manager is a leader and high-level member of the Finance Talent Group. Independently supports ministries, supports leadership to the Finance Talent Group, and contributes to both routine and significant internal processes and projects. We’re looking for someone who will: Lead with a servant’s heart, demonstrate genuine care and concern, while acting with integrity and humility (1 Peter 5:1-4). Serve as a people manager of other members of the Finance Talent Group and key support to all Kingdom One Talent Groups, while serving under the leadership and direction of the Finance Director. Actively develop and generate the Community, Tools, and Knowledge offerings of the Finance Talent Group and the bookkeeping teams. Ensure the Finance Talent Group is staffed and stable, with a diverse array of talents and gifting. Drive the clarification and implementation of standardized processes and procedures for the bookkeeping teams to more effectively deliver quality service with increasing efficiency. Actively develop, train, grow, and engage with members of the Finance Talent Group—elevating their acumen, competency, leadership capabilities, and spiritual walk. Perform the established service offerings of the Finance Talent Group to assigned ministries. Provide excellence and quality service delivery as a member of the Finance Talent Group. Support and contribute to the long-term strategy and service offering expansion of the Finance Talent Group. Participate in the growth strategy of the Finance Talent Group and actively develop new ministry opportunities in concert with other team members. Contribute to special projects as assigned. Our ideal candidate: Loves serving the church, loves Jesus, and is excited to grow the capital “C” church. 5 - 8 years demonstrated leadership experience in Finance/Accounting in a fast-moving environment; proactive problem solver, roll-up-one’s-sleeves demeanor with a strong work ethic, and excellent communication. Experience required in the non-profit, church, camp, or education industries. Proficient in a variety of finance platforms (i.e. Quickbooks, Aplos, etc.). Is technology savvy and comfortable using MS Office and/or G-Suite. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills Able to develop, grow, guide, and lead staff to ensure appropriate and efficient financial processes are being used. A solid understanding of GAAP principles. Preferred BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics. Is a strong project manager who loves to serve people, is collaborative, efficient, and is organized. Open to occasional travel may be required.
